To manually configure and associate an email account with ProductiveMail, follow the steps:
1. Open the ProductiveMail viewer and go to Tools -> Configure Email Accounts or click the Accounts button from the toolbar.
2. Click the Add account... button and supply all the required fields. To avoid errors it's advisable to copy the account configuration data directly from the email account properties in your email client.
Note: If ProductiveMail automatically detected the email account and it is already listed, select it and click on the Properties... button
3. Copy the value from the Proxy Port field. This value was assigned by ProductiveMail when you added the account.
4. Modify the email account properties in your email client by replacing the current Outgoing mail server (SMTP) by localhost and the Port for the outgoing mail by the Proxy Port you previously copied. Once modified they should appear as shown below:
Note: The above images are just samples and in your email program those options could appear differently.
5. If the associated email account requires a secure connection with the server (e.g., GMail mail server) you'll need to disable the corresponding option in the email account properties in your email client and define an appropriate SSL Method in the account properties in ProductiveMail.
